Robotics Coach (Full Stack)

Sam Slaboden recently relocated from Ohio to Los Angeles and is eager to engage with the community to inspire youth about the wonders of STEM. A dedicated mechanical engineer with a focus on robotics, automation, and mechatronics, Sam holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology and a Minor in Robotics and Automation from the University of Cincinnati. His professional experience includes co-ops at Hahn Automation and Hixson, where he honed his skills in innovative design, automation, and collaborative communication.

Sam has demonstrated strong leadership and technical expertise as the captain of his high school VEX Robotics team, a member of the University of Cincinnati Robotics team, and the lead engineer for the award-winning mechatronic project, Sesame. As a skilled communicator and experienced STEM volunteer in special education, he is well-versed in SolidWorks, Siemens NX, C++, Python, and rapid prototyping.

Sam joins ICEA Robotics Coach Team in 2024 and he is excited to bring his passion for STEM to ICEA Robotics. He looks forward to helping mentor and inspire the next generation of engineers through VEX IQ, leveraging his experience and enthusiasm to push the boundaries of STEM education.
